First off, let me tell you a little secret. I don't fly. I can't afford to fly. I don't believe in business related junkets. I don't want the TSA giving me the jollies so I really have zero emotional/mental investment in the KCI discussion. The only thing I care about is what the airlines want/need for the future because they are the ones who pay the bills and are in the business of making money by serving the travelers.
That being said, I know a lot of people have strong opinions and there are a lot of things going on so I've uploaded the 1.5+ hour long August 10th, 2017 KCMO committee discussion on KCI for you to watch. All KCMO Council meetings are on Channel 2 or can be searched and viewed as video on demand. To save you the hassle of finding the recent KCI meeting, I've embedded the video on my YouTube page.
I also stripped the audio and converted it to a 67+/-MB podcast you can download and listen to in the car, on a run (weirdos), a bike ride, or whatever you do when you listen to things like this.

Later that same day, there was a presentation on all the "listening sessions" that the Aviation Department has been doing this year. I went ahead and uploaded that to my YT page so you can see what that is all about.
I also provided you with a 18+/-MB podcast that you again can download and listen to at your convenience.

Watch and listen at your pleasure and see the decision making process in action. There will be some more meetings coming up and if I have the time, I'll post them for you.
Meanwhile, I forgot another reason why I don't fly. I hate having to spend hours in a confined space with random strangers. You never know who might be sitting next to you.......
