I-29 and Lake Waukomis Area 1954 Aerial

Well I had a meeting today with a railroad with an office in KCK and took a local road route back home. I found a site with a couple of smokestacks and wanted to find an old aerial so I did some searching on Kansas aerials and found a 1954 aerial showing our part of the world.

Here's the nearly brand new Park Hill High School on NW 72nd Street. This of course is now Plaza Middle School. NW 72nd Street is at the top of the picture, Route 9 is on the left, and the newly relocated US 71 is on the right.

This is I-29 and 64th Street.

I of course had to see what my Miltonwood suburban home looked like (wondering where Miltonwood is, click here). Please note, my house is on top of the hill and away from any streams or ditches.
