The Best Month of the Year Is Here

...for local train enthusiasts.  The Kansas City Northern Railroad opens for 2015 this weekend.  Hours are Saturdays from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM and on Sundays (or summer holidays) from 12:01 PM until 6:00 PM.

The following weekend on May 9th will be the National Train Day celebration in Frank Vaydik (Line Creek) Park.

Official KC Parks website with details on the event is here.  If you don't live in the area, it's a perfect day to load up the kids and check out the train, some 2 for 1 ice skating, and the Line Creek Trail.  You can spend a whole day there and not spend more than $20.
