Ordinarily this would be outside of my focus and time but since there is some financial incentives that impact state revenues which might indirectly impact us valley residents, I thought you might find the pictures interesting. This is the latest submittal for the Cerner south KC campus on the old Bannister Mall site.
Since architects have to create hidden meanings that never get communicated to anyone and have to be explained, I heard at a luncheon that the building is supposed to represent binary computer code or like a first generation computer punch card. I just see it as a costlier to construct outer facade but I'm just an engineer.
It appears that the campus is going to get it's own semi-direct access to I-435 and ultimately it grows even bigger and the red streets/ramps need to be added to handle traffic.
