In case you didn't hear, The Dish in Liberty closed a few months ago. I made sure we got one last fresh deep dish pizza once I got the email that it was the last night the place was open.
I know that they took some heat for closing the restaurant and I myself was selfishly bothered by the fact that we are losing our only deep dish pizza place that happened to be the best pizza place in town.
However, I understand why they did it the way they did. It had to be hard to say goodbye to something that they put so much time into. To everyone who took a shot at them, you should put yourselves in their shoes and think at how they probably wrestled with this for a long time and what a tough decision it had to be.
While you can still get it from local grocery stores, it will never be the same as right out of the oven.
I just wanted to say thank you for giving us 16+ years of great pizza and best of luck expanding throughout the Midwest.
