The Mid-America Regional Council is soliciting comments on all the federal transportation projects that all the cities and interest groups submitted. You can browse the whole list here.
Comments from Platte Countians are important. Road improvement projects to add bicycle accomodations and sidewalks are competing with bus replacement and other short term type projects. With all the low income apartments in the area and lack of transit access to/from them, I think getting improved streets so cars and people are not competing for space on narrow and hilly streets is important to neighborhood reinvestment in the older areas of the Northland. Most of these projects directly serve schools and will improve safety for buses, kids, and parents.
You can leave comments on all the projects. I highlighted ones that I drive on all the time. There are others around the metro. Just click on the project and scroll down to the bottom.
