This Day In NCAA Tournament History (4/4)

Second to the Cal-Stanford "band is on the field game", in 1983 North Carolina State gave us one of the most improbable endings to a sporting event I have ever seen.  The Wolfpack were major underdogs versus the powerful "Phi Slamma Jamma" Houston Cougars. 

Isn't the look on Coach Valvano's face looking for someone to hug one of those enduring sports moments?.
