Tomorrow Antioch Bible Baptist Church celebrates its 50th Anniversary as a church. We've been blessed to be there for the last 13 years. I plagiarized most of this from Pastor Bob.
The very first meeting of Antioch Bible Baptist Church was on Sunday, January 1, 1961, in the home of Brother Joe and JoAnn Kreeger. In that first service seventeen people were present. While Antioch began in January 1961, it was not officially organized as an Independent Baptist Church until April 28, 1963. By God's grace, Brother Joe and those early church members made significant sacrifices to build a viable church to impact our community and the world for Jesus Christ. We owe a great debt of gratitude to those who stepped out by faith and took giant risks for God.
Sunday is going to be a "red letter" day as we gather to make much of God and celebrate 50 years of His incredible grace. Join us at 9:00 am, 10:45 am or 5:00 pm to celebrate the goodness and greatness of God. Come prepared to give God your best in corporate worship. We will honor charter members, recognize those who have been part of our church family for 30 years or more, watch a video presentation that shows what God has done and is doing, and hear a challenge by Jerry Thorpe.
