Judging from the number of footprints I noticed this afternoon after we rode the Kansas City Northern Railroad today, a lot of curious people walked the Line Creek Trail south extension. In case you want to explore, the Line Creek Trail south extension is about 1 mile one-way from the Line Creek Community Center to I-29.
I uploaded 32 progress pictures I took Friday to panoramio.com™. I didn't want to put any on this site since it would take forever to load mobile or on a tablet and you can look over them by clicking here.
I started at I-29 and took pictures of the trail looking north. Judging from the way panoramio™ uploaded them, they seem to be in order from south to north. I tried taking a picture every 250-500 feet to give you a preview of what the trail corridor will be like when it's done. I didn't bother to take the time to geocode them and didn't want to clutter it or google earth™. Time is in short supply right now.
We are at that time of year when we are changing over from summer to winter clothes. The laundry usually piles up at the house with 7 people in it but it grew exponentially with hauling up tubs of stored clothes from the basement. Couple that with the fact that the littlest loudmouth is at the peak of newborn fussiness, I have not been able to devote any time to any substantial updates.
For example, just before I started typing this I discovered that the littlest loudmouth is a big Billy Squier fan. Cranking up "Everybody Wants You" (IMHO this was the most awesome roller skating rink song 30 years ago) and bouncing around the kitchen is the only thing that has worked for me today to get him to sleep. After 5 minutes he is out all nice and cuddled in one arm and I am typing with the other hand.
I jokingly ask people who are older "what the heck were you thinking in the 70's???" Watching this video, I think someone will be asking me about the 80's in a snarky way at some point in the future. What was the deal with the hair?
No idea who gets the video credit but the great Billy Squier gets the song credit.
