The Antioch Mall site is looking more like WWII Dresden by design. It is sad how these old mall sites were built with not a care towards aesthetics, purpose, or function back in the day. Just looking at this picture, there was no thought whatsoever of making something that would last the test of time.
The proposed redo of the mall leaves the Sears™ in place (Lot 15) and converts the old mall site to a pad site and small shops center with a couple of big-box anchors. Route 1 is at the top, Vivion at the left, and north is to the right.
You can read more from the offical site of the redevelopment project which is being marketed as "Antioch Crossing."
