I'll save you some time. Vote No on Judge Richard Tietlman.
Vote Yes on Amendment 1
Vote No on Amendment 2. They'll work around it anyways. It will create more bureaucracy and compliance jobs while still letting labor unions and PAC's do what they do.
Vote No on Amendment 3. It's not right to single out a group and specifically tax them. The money will get siphoned off and pissed away on more paper pushing government jobs. If cigarettes are so bad, ban them. Don't use an addictive product as a way to siphon off more money for Jefferson City. It also seems rather stupid to become dependent on smokers to educate our kids especially if the kids are taught smoking kills you.
Amendment 4 is tricky. It's sounds good but removes some local control over taxes. Missouri Municipal League doesn't endorse and since I'm a local government employee and I don't want to take a position partially because I'm still working on this one. The Hancock Amendment works pretty well with requiring a vote to create or impose new taxes. Figure it out on your own. Here are some articles about it.
Vote Yes on Amendment 6 which is voter ID. You need an ID to enter a federal building, fly a plane, and do a lot of things. It protects against fraud. Project Veritas has all the proof you need.
Vote No on Proposition A. See Amendment 3. Ban cigarettes rather than extort smoker's income while they live their shortened and miserable ending lives.
We use the library a lot. It's a great thing to have. However, I'm not sure if this is the way to fund it. I don't like the massive increase. I'd be more favorable to a stepped increase every five years. You choose how much comfort you have with the proposal.
KCMO Question 1 and 2 vote Yes. Always vote Yes to divest of parkland.
KCMO Question 3 is Clay Chastain's latest. If you like train wrecks, vote yes. If you don't, vote no. Either way it's unfortunately we can't submit an initiative petition to ban stupid people from entering government buildings. If we did.........
Lastly, I've kind of assumed everyone was voting for Kevin Corlew. He's been the most accessible State Representative we've had in years and involved in our schools and business community. His opponent just moved into the district, was lucky enough to have a dad who was a state rep with connections, and really really good genetics where he could make millions of dollars catching a football because he's fast and tall. If you honestly look at qualifications, Kevin's opponent is playing in a semi-pro league in Butte, Montana while Kevin Corlew is Tom Brady.
