If you read my post yesterday where I endorsed Andy Smith and John Fairfield for Platte County Commission, you realize I'm close to the point where I really don't care anymore. Tonight's Clay County Commissioner recommendations are being done more for pity for those of you that have had to endure that flaming bag of dog doo that is festering at the courthouse.
Readers of the Northland News know that two of the three Commissioners are involved in a lawsuit filed by a private citizen about improper use of county funds and county administrative staff that is out of control. Here's a long recap of the latest fiasco.
Long time readers know that last election I did not support Pam Mason.
Well hold your seats because it turns out this time Pam Mason is the best choice for Clay Countians who live in the western district. This is a competitive seat so your vote will matter. The incumbent is not fit for office. Keep watching The Northland News feed later tonight or first thing in the morning where the treatment by the incumbent of Presiding Commissioner Jerry Nolte will appall you.
For eastern Clay Countians, Stacy Nickerson is running a hugely uphill battle to bring some transparency to county government but at least she's running. Learn more about her here.
Again, if you don't know what's going at your local level, you're really derelict in voting. If you don't like and share this, you'll continue to have this happen:

Someone even went to the hassle to put together a simple video summing up Clay County government so watch it, enjoy it, and lastly, share it. Incompetence is a bi-partisan occurrence.
